A complete redesign of the wrapping and packaging system for Wagashi Tomoe, a 140-year-old Kyoto confectionery house. The studio worked with the family's fourth-generation owner to retire the older paper system and introduce a modular set of wraps, boxes, and seasonal sleeves that could move with the shop's calendar.
The system uses a single sheet weight and three folds, allowing the shop to wrap any combination of sweets without separate boxes. Seasonal motifs are printed on tissue inserts, refreshed twice a year by a guest illustrator from the studio's editorial network.
Launched in autumn 2024 alongside a small bilingual catalogue documenting the wrapping method.
